Coronavirus- Safety Measures


Covid-19 or novel coronavirus 2019 is a respiratory virus which has first discovered in Wuhan, China in December 2019. The symptoms of coronavirus could be seen after 10-14 days of exposure. They include fever, cough, and difficulty in breathing. This disease has already been announced as a pandemic by the World Health Organisation (WHO).


SAFETY MEASURES


Till now, no vaccine has invented that can cure coronavirus infection. So, it is only you who can prevent yourself to get infected with such a disease. Here are some safety measures which will help you to avoid the spread of coronavirus.

1. Wash your hands again and again with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If there is no water available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
2. Do not touch your eyes, nose, and mouth with infected hands. Before washing your hands when coming from outside, avoid touching your nose and face.
3. Start Social Distancing. Avoid close contact with people (whether sick or not). Maintain a distance of at least 3 feet.
4. If you are feeling sick, stay at home only. Stay in self-quarantine at your home.
5. Use a mask when it's an emergency to go outside. It is advised to use N95 masks.
6. While coughing and sneezing, use tissues and throw them in the dustbin.
7. Clean frequently used objects and places again and again.

India's government is also taking the necessary steps to combat this disease. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced a 3-week lockdown in India for up to 14th April 2020. People have to stay at home for 21 days in self-quarantine.
